CREDAI Kochi Welcomes New Leadership for 2025-27 Term
Kochi, May 3, 2025: The installation ceremony of the newly elected office bearers of CREDAI Kochi (Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India - Kochi Chapter) for the 2025-27 term was held at Taj Vivanta, Marine Drive, Kochi. The event was presided over by Shri Loknath Behera (Retd. IPS), Managing Director of KMRL, with Shri M.A. Mehaboob, Vice President of CREDAI South Zone and CREDAI National, officiating the formal installation.
During his address, Shri Behera emphasized that Kerala boasts some of the most beautiful homes in the country and added that the new generation has immense scope to innovate in architecture and design. CREDAI Kerala Chairman Shri Ravi Jacob and Convener General Shri S.N. Raghuchandran Nair were also present.
The newly elected office bearers of CREDAI Kochi for 2025-27 are:
- President: Edward George, Managing Director, Imperial Homes Pvt. Ltd.
- Secretary: K. Anil Varma, Managing Director, Varma Homes Pvt. Ltd.
- Treasurer: K.T. Mathew, Managing Director, Classic Constructions
- Joint Secretary: Joseph John, Managing Director, Synthite Infrastructure Projects Pvt. Ltd.
In his presidential address, Edward George stated that the new team will focus on three core areas:
1. Sustainable and responsible development
2. Collaboration with government agencies and stakeholders
3. Emphasis on social responsibility
Secretary Anil Varma thanked all members for their support and pledged continued collaboration to drive CREDAI Kochi's mission forward.
CREDAI is India's apex body of private real estate developers, encompassing over 13,300 members across 230 city chapters in 20 states. The organization is committed to promoting sustainable development and has pledged to facilitate green certification for 100,000 homes and 25 million sq. ft. of commercial real estate.
In Kerala, CREDAI's five city chapters-Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thrissur, Kozhikode, and Palakkad-have played a vital role in promoting ethical business practices in the real estate and construction sectors. The sector also contributes significantly to employment and state GDP growth.
The newly appointed leadership reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening sustainable development across Kerala in alignment with CREDAI's national vision.
